 Capillary Spherical Water Waves: a List of Unsolved Problems

  要:In this talk, I will introduce a quasilinear partial differential system that describes the motion of an almost spherical water droplet governed by surface tension. The system is legitimately called capillary spherical water waves system, since it resembles the well-known capillary water waves system in the flat setting. After discussing the physical derivation of this system, I will propose three types of unsolved problems related to it: linear theory and Strichartz inequalities, long time well-posedness and obstacle due to resonance, existence of particular global-in-time solutions. The materials are taken from the second part of my Ph.D. thesis.
